Learn War Any More
"Neither shall they learn war any more",
Oh God, this is what I've been praying for,
So much cruel suffering: They say ~~~ for Your Sake,
How on earth can they make such a terrible mistake???
The bombs are destroying the land that You gave
To Your people Israel; never more to be slaves,
To those who call You by another name,
Lord, can't You teach us ~ we all are the same???
If swords were made plowshares,
We could feed all the masses,
And spears were pruning hooks,
Perhaps time would then pass,
And finally we could learn,
Under the skin ~~~ we are all the same.
We could share this beautiful world,
Without resentment or blame,
Reaching out to hold my brother's hand,
Standing for peace, and a 'promised' land.
Lord, judge each nation, let them all see,
Their OWN sin: repent~~~ and draw closer to Thee.
For the truth is ~~~ we all are,
The same in Your eyes.
You gave up Your Son,
So tomorrow will rise.
So, Peace Now, I pray, for my Savior's Sake,
Let all life be renewed, allow no more mistakes.
Give strength to our leaders, open wide their minds,
Help up to move forward, leaving no one behind.
